Had a good working morning with decent weather. A few volunteers turned up to help with cutting and trimming grass around paths and tree circles, flowerbed by gate had a good tidy up. The large overgrown bramble by ‘Rivers Reach’ hedge has now been cut, partly shaped and cuttings cleared. A fair amount of fallen apples and pears were collected. We also have some wild flowers in pots ready go in.

Thanks to Deborah and Matthew Pettifer of Ermine Street for bringing a cherry tree down on Saturday morning. Also a massive thanks to Julie Carslake of Wareside for donating three fruit trees, one cherry, one apple and possibly a pear, she also donated £15.00 to the orchard funds via PayPal.
