Good turnout and a successful afternoon considering the cold and windy weather. Approximately 34 people, including trustees and volunteers, braved the elements to visit the orchard to eat cake and biscuits, drink tea, coffee, chat, make donations - £59.50 and buy orchard jam - £40.50. A nice profit of £100.00 going to the orchard coffers.
Thanks to the volunteers distributing flyers around the villages to promote the event and for the morning work clearing up, setting up chairs and tables ready for visitors. Special thanks to those volunteers who produced homemade biscuits, cakes and plum jam (jams were made from last years orchard autumn harvest).
A few new faces came to see the orchard and wander around, with a couple of local villagers looking to get involved, which is great.
