Small team did great job on Saturday morning cutting, strimming and clearing a lot of grass, also had a good go at clearing nettles around the large hazel tree and Mulberry. Mulberry has produced a lot of fruit this year which the Blackbirds are enjoying!
Updated the bird table to a Mk12 which is working well at keeping out the Rooks, Woodpeckers and Squirrels, it took a little while for the tits to work how to get in and out, think the clear perspex was confusing.
A lot more ‘Common Darter Dragonflies’ emerging (one rescued from grass edge), and we had our first ‘Ruddy Darter Dragonfly’ visit a couple of times. Saw a ‘Common Green Lacewing’, a ‘Treecreeper’ and a Wasp rolling up a fly for his lunch.
